Former US President Jimmy Carter was hospitalized on Tuesday, September 28th 2010 after becoming severely ill while flying to Cleveland as part of a tour to publicize his book "White House Diary." President Carter, an author and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his work with the Carter Center, suffered what was described as an upset stomach, and was hospitalized as a precaution.
